FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
The birth of any new group is like the birth of a baby. Our dear Library is in the process of giving birth to a Friends of the Library group.
A dedicated group of Library fanatics has been meeting for the last few months to bring this about. So – look for our booth at Antrim’s Home and Harvest Days and come in and fill out a membership form. While you are there, please take a moment to let us know what you would like to see the group doing; and if you think you would like to take an active part in making this group grow, let us know.
In the near future, we hope to provide some interesting programming for the community, home delivery for shut-ins, financial support for collection development and equipment purchases, and of course moral support for the Library staff.
We hope and believe that the Library can become even more of a center for the community – a place where friends and groups can meet, and the community can come together in these trying times.
It is, after all, the best deal in town, and with the new addition and renovation of the original building, it is one of the most comfortable places to curl up with a good book, check out some new music, audiobooks or movies, use the public access computers or use the Library’s wireless access – FOR FREE.
If you would like to see this baby grow, join us during Home and Harvest Days! See you then.
